Paul is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, TN obtaining a BA in 1984. Paul obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1987. While in law school, Paul was a member of the Arkansas Law Review, an honor extended to students based on achievement. He also graduated with honors in the top 10 of his class.

After passing the bar exam, Paul joined his father’s law practice in his hometown of Wynne, Arkansas. While practicing in Wynne as a Public Defender, Paul gained his first experience handling capital murder cases. Paul has tried 7 death penalty cases to verdict and has been successful in keeping all of his client’s off death row. Paul was honored to represent Jason Baldwin in the case that is now commonly referred to as the West Memphis 3; a case that has been the subject of multiple books, documentaries, and movies.

In 1993, Paul moved his practice to Jonesboro, Arkansas and is the founding member of The Law Offices of Paul Ford. Paul represents clients in catastrophic personal injury cases, medical malpractice, wrongful foreclosure and occasionally, complex domestic matters. Paul continues to represent people who have been accused of criminal conduct to ensure that the rights guaranteed to us all in the Constitution remain inviolate.

Paul has always had an intense desire to make a difference in the lives of the people he represents and that has driven Paul to offer the best legal service possible to people when and where they are hurting. So not only did Paul excel in law school, he has continued to devote significant amounts of time to his continuing legal education.

Paul is happily married to Annie, his wife of 27 years. Together, they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. A recipe for a full and active life.

Accomplishments

Paul proudly attended the very first “Welcome To The Revolution” seminar hosted by one of the finest lawyers in America, Don Keenan. Mr. Keenan twice invited Paul to be a speaker at the annual Reptile Masters seminar in 2013 and 2014. Paul was also an original member of the Keenan Ball Trial College faculty, which is now known as the Keenan Trial Institute. Paul served as the Co-Dean of the Opening Statement college from 2015-2019 and was responsible for developing the curriculum to teach other lawyers how to use the Keenan model to lawyers from all across the nation.

In addition to his work with Don Keenan as others, Paul is a graduate of the prestigious Trial Lawyers College in 2013, which was founded by renowned trial lawyer Gerry Spence to teach the very best in trial strategies along with techniques of personal and client development. After graduation, Paul was selected to serve of the Alumni Board for the Trial Lawyers College.

Among his other accomplishments, Paul is the past president of the Craighead County Bar Association; a member of the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions-Civil; a founding member of the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in January of 2000; and a member of the Board of Governors of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association since 2008.

Community Involvement

While Paul has helped his clients be cleared of criminal charges and recover millions of dollars for their injuries, harms and losses, Paul is most proud of his work in the community.

Paul is passionate about his work in the community with John 3:16 Ministries, a Spiritual Boot Camp for Men with Addictions. In this ministry, Paul has been able to combine his faith and the practice of law to continue in his passion to make a difference in the lives of people in need of help. Paul also travels abroad to Cuba several times a year and engages in work there in support of the Cuban people.
